A synthetic audience worth relying on has three traits: it is built from real measurement, it is checked against real outcomes, and it shows its work.
How a synthetic audience is built
AlphaVu builds each twin from two sources: our own survey research and all of your data.
- Survey research. We field our own polls and surveys, drawing on our survey-methods and subject-matter expertise. Fresh survey data can anchor the model to how people actually answer.
- Your data and outside signals. Surveys, reviews, social media, news, contact center and CRM data are unified and constantly refreshed.
- Continuous validation. The twin tests its own forecasts against incoming opinion, fine-tunes when accuracy starts to drift, and tells you when it's time for a new survey.
The result is a model of the population you care about, broken out by the segments you track: neighborhoods, districts, customer groups, rider types.
What you can do with one
Predict. Forecast how support, opposition or purchase intent will move by segment and market, with a confidence range on every number.
Simulate. Test messages, timing and courses of action side by side, and see which one lands with whom before anything goes public.
Explain. See the drivers behind each forecast, so you know why opinion is moving and what would change it.
Results arrive as alerts when opinion shifts, executive briefs leaders can forward, and plain-language answers when you ask a question.
What a synthetic audience is not
- It is not a profile of individuals. AlphaVu models segments, never individuals.
- It is not a replacement for research. The twin is calibrated by survey research and flags where it's least sure, so you field new research when reality demands it rather than on a calendar.
- It is not a black box. Every forecast shows its drivers and its uncertainty.
Four questions to ask any synthetic audience provider
- 1. What real data is the model built from, and how often is it refreshed?
- 2. How is accuracy measured, and is it disclosed by segment?
- 3. Does every forecast come with drivers and a confidence range?
- 4. Does the model represent segments or individual people?
If a provider can't answer these clearly, treat its forecasts as hypotheses, not evidence.
